Project size and scope can range from a day or two of specific design advice for a new building to research projects extending over several months.  We operate through the consultancy arm of the university, who handle contractual arrangements, invoicing, public liability and professional indemnity cover.

  • Monitoring of buildings using multi-channel Datataker and Gigalog and single channel Lascar and Dallas iButton dataloggers and an extensive range of sensors to monitor electrical consumption (current clamps), temperature, humidity, light levels, digital and analogue state in control circuits and optical monitoring of mechanical meters and indicator lamps
  • Acoustic design using CATT Acoustic ray tracing and INSUL sound insulation prediction software
  • Acoustic surveys using Class I measurement equipment from Brüel & Kjær, Norsonic, Gras and  ACSoft
