Fellowship Writing Retreat
Our Fellowship Writing Retreats provide a dedicated 2.5-hour block each term for you to focus on developing your fellowship application in a supportive, distraction-free environment. We encourage you to begin attending these retreats approximately a year before you intend to apply, allowing ample time to develop your ideas, strengthen your proposal, and establish a regular writing habit.
These retreats are designed specifically for focused writing rather than one-to-one advice or mentoring, helping you make consistent progress on your application. Importantly, the retreats are facilitated by current fellowship holders who understand the challenges of preparing a competitive fellowship proposal and can help create a productive and motivating writing environment.

Key features of the Fellowship Writing Retreats
- A dedicated 2.5-hour writing retreat once per term.
- Recommended attendance from around 12 months before application submission.
- Protected time for writing and proposal development.
- Facilitated by existing fellows with first-hand fellowship experience.
- Focus on progress and productivity rather than application advice.
