Policy@Exeter (P@E) is the University of Exeter’s strategic platform for advancing policy engagement, knowledge exchange, and impact.

Engagement with the UK Parliament and Government

In the past three years, academics at the University of Exeter have made nearly 100 formal contributions to UK Parliamentary inquiries, committees and briefings (Source: Hansard, 2025), sharing their expertise and research findings with committees and inquires on topics ranging from Education to Energy Transition and from Social Mobility to Species Reintroduction.

Our researchers regularly produce policy briefs, outlining the key policy implications of their cutting-edge work to support positive change - you can find these on our database.

Here are some examples of the world class research projects taking place at Exeter informing and influencing policy in the UK and beyond.

More examples of recent work can be found on our Policy@Exeter blog.
