Devon and Cornwall SARC will be holding a drop-in service on campus on the last Thursday of every month, starting Thursday 27 March, from 10:00 until 14:00 in Tremough House, Maenporth room 137.
NHS SARCs are specialist services that offer free care and support to anyone who has been raped, sexually assaulted or abused at any time in their life.
Help is available from a SARC without having to talk to the police or report what happened. The SARC team will make sure that anyone visiting their service understands their options and gets the support they choose in a place where they are safe.
If you have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused and don't know where to turn, search ‘sexual assault referral centres’ for more information or visit www.nhs.uk/SARCs to find your nearest centre. If appropriate, wanted, and within the forensic window, SARC can undertake examinations.
The Bridge Project
The Bridge project will also be holding drop-ins on campus for victims of sexual abuse. They are Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) who offer free, impartial and confidential support to people who have been sexually assaulted, raped or abused. They help people make informed choices about reporting to the police and understand what their rights and options are.
They will have a drop-in from 10:00 until 14:00 on the 10 April, 8 May and 12 June. Location to be confirmed.
Meditation
