Undergraduate Study

Open Days and visiting

Applying to University in 2021 and beyond?

In 2021 we are planning a mixture of online Open Days throughout the application period and later in the year, as Covid-19 restrictions ease, we can hopefully offer you some ‘in person’ events on our campuses.

Online Open Days, 1-4 June 2021

Our online Open Days are designed to help you find out about studying at the University of Exeter and learn about the subjects we offer across our campuses in Devon and Cornwall.

We are offering four days of events, each of which is focussed on specific subject areas:

  • 1 June - subjects from the College of Humanities
  • 2 June - subjects from the College of Life and Environmental Sciences and the College of Medicine and Health
  • 3 June - subjects from the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences and the Exeter Business School
  • 4 June - subjects from the College of Social Sciences and International Studies

Subject listing for those departments can be found at

On these dedicated subject days, academics and students studying those subjects will host live chat sessions. Student Ambassadors, accommodation, admissions and support services staff will be available for all four events, as well as information about all our subjects and lots of web and video resources.

Undergraduate Open Day events

We will also be offering a number of exciting online and in person activities and events for students who are about to start their application process. These events will be advertised on this page shortly so be sure to check back here regularly for updates.

We have recently launched 360 Virtual Campus Tours of our beautiful campuses in Devon and Cornwall that allow you to take a look around the campuses, their grounds and facilities including accommodation, sports centre, library, seminar rooms and lecture theatres.

Online live chats offer a chance to talk to an academic and a current student from the subject you are interested in studying. You can ask any questions about course content, teaching, assessment, applying and student life at Exeter.

In addition to an Open Day, why not take part in our Discover University series? Activity includes regular subject specific sessions delivered by our academic community, as well as information and guidance on choosing a university course, writing a personal statement, navigating the UCAS process and more! Each session includes a live Q&A with University of Exeter staff or students, which provides a great opportunity to gain insight into life and study at a University of Exeter campus.

Like and follow our Facebook page to receive regular updates, and book your place on the Discover University page.

If you are an International student, resident outside the UK, we can organise a virtual Question and Answer session with one of our International Officers. This is an ideal opportunity to ask any questions you have regarding the application and confirmation process, programme structures, accommodation, University facilities or UK student life.

To book an international Q&A session please email your request to

Please include in your email the date, time you would like to meet and your Country of Domicile so that we can direct you to the correct international team. We will do our best to accommodate you, please to take into consideration the time difference when making your request.
