ASPIRE PRP Guidance Workshop (FHEA)

Description

About this course:

The focus of the ASPIRE Guidance Workshop is professional recognition for teaching and supporting learning in Higher Education.

This two hour workshop offers a chance to make a start on drafting your application for HEA Fellowship through the University of Exeter's Accrediting Staff Professionalism in Research-Led Education (ASPIRE) Professional Recognition Pathway (PRP).

We'll spend some time exploring the UK Professional Standards Framework, and the descriptor for Fellowship; we'll also look at your own education practice, and how you can translate this into making a claim for FHEA.

While ASPIRE Guidance Workshops are open to all academic and Professional Services colleagues with a role in teaching and supporting learning, you might find the Fellowship Category Tool (under Resources below) helpful in deciding which workshop to attend.

We also offer workshops for Associate Fellowship, Senior Fellowship, and Principal Fellowship.

These sessions will run online; once you've booked on to the workshop, we'll be in touch with the MS Teams link.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this workshop, you will be able to: - Articulate your teaching and supporting learning experience in relation to the criteria for ASPIRE/HEA Fellowship.

- Describe the process of applying for Fellowship.

- Reflect on your current practice in relation to the UKPSF, and identify any areas for development in building your case.

Who should attend this course? ASPIRE Guidance Workshops are open to all academic and Professional Services colleagues with a role in teaching and supporting learning.
