About this course:

This course is designed as a refresher for those who attended a full COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health) course at least three years ago.

It will update participants on current issues and changes since their original training as well as providing an opportunity to discuss their own concerns, any issues identified in their work areas and findings they would like to share with the group.

The course is split into two sections; Updates and recent issues followed by group discussion regarding difficult COSHH related problems.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to: - Implement updated advice and regulations - Discuss challenging COSHH safety questions - Improve your own COSHH management

Who should attend this course:

This course is designed for anyone who previously attended COSHH management (laboratory) course.

This will include technical staff and researchers.

Mike Wetherell (Health and Safety Manager).

Before the course:

You will be contacted and asked for examples of challenging COSHH related issue or questions which will then be discussed as a class.

Resources:

This course is interactive with various resources used throughout.

At the end of the course you will be in a position to complete a personal action plan.
