Investigating Officers for HR Procedures

Description

Theme:

Personal Effectiveness

Category:

Professional Knowledge and Business Skills

About this course:

There are many reasons for holding an internal investigation in the workplace.

Investigations are held to clarify and establish the facts of an individual case and to assist in a decision as to whether there are grounds to call a disciplinary hearing or dismiss a member of staff.

Employers could be held liable if a poor investigation leads to an unfair dismissal.

This 2-day course covers key techniques, procedures, and checklists to help ensure that you are considering all the critical factors, and that you undertake the process in a fair and un-biased manner.

Delegates will develop a valuable understanding of what the law requires and will learn the key skills to conduct and manage a fair internal investigation.

This will include identifying what investigation processes should cover, effective interviewing of witnesses, gathering and analysis of evidence, report writing and presenting findings.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING - THIS IS A TWO DAY COURSE AND YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND ON BOTH DATES (24.04.2024 AND 25.04.24).
