Committee Secretariat

The University Committee Secretariat Team oversee the coordination and running of Council, Senate and other senior committees.

Council

Council is the Governing Body of the University. Council meets six times a year and has a number of committees reporting to it.

Committees of Council:
•Audit Committee
•Council Nominations Committee
•Remuneration Committee

Although not formal committees of Council, Health and Safety Committee and Ethics Committee both report to Council on an annual basis to ensure oversight of regulatory and statutory requirements.

Senate

Senate is the chief academic decision-making body of the University. Its powers and constitution can be found in the University’s Statutes and it meets three times a year.

•Flexible Combined Honours Degree Board of Studies
•Ethics Committee
