Agile Community

Welcome to the Agile Community of Practice. We champion open and transparent discussion - sharing challenges and successes in adopting Agile ways of working.

  • Vision - Using Agile to modernise the digital landscape of the University of Exeter through continuous learning and innovation.
  • Mission - Our mission is to foster a collaborative environment where individuals are empowered to drive agile transformation.
  • Purpose - We aim to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can contribute, experiment, and grow.

Our Agile Community of Practice is a supportive space where colleagues can engage in open discussions, sharing their challenges and successes in adopting Agile ways of working processes and practices. In line with our Digital Strategy 2030, the Community is committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and transformative innovation through co-creation and bringing people together, creating shared capabilities.

If you are wanting to adopt Agile ways of working in your area of the organisation you must do so through our Agile Community of Practice to ensure consistency in ways of working throughout the organisation.

Join our Agile Community of Practice here.

What can I expect from joining?

Through the Community, UoE Digital provide advice and resources, including Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches, as well as regular training and workshops to help people to adopt Agile ways of working across the University.

We offer regular training, workshops, and resources:

Agile Champions:
Are you passionate about Agile principles, practices, and mindset? Consider becoming an Agile Champion in our community. You'll be a role model who shares knowledge and experiences with others, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. The role offers the development of leadership skills, networking opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of the Digital University of Exeter.

Agile Training:
We offer a range of training sessions. By taking part in these sessions, members can acquire new competencies and improve their ability to implement Agile practices effectively. Gain higher productivity, better collaboration, and improved outcomes for projects and teams.

Agile Workshops:
Our Agile Coaches run interactive workshops. Participate in practical exercises, group discussions, and collaborative problem-solving. Apply Agile concepts to real-world situations. Active involvement in these workshops leads to faster learning, increased confidence in Agile practices, and stronger community connections.

Lean Coffee Meetups:
Join our relaxed Lean Coffee meetups to share and learn from one another. Access the collective wisdom of the community, find creative solutions to your problems, and develop meaningful relationships.

Data Community

Welcome to the University of Exeter's Data Community!

Our vision is to ensure our staff and students have the data literacy skills needed to thrive within an ever-evolving digital workspace. We aim to bring together a diverse range of data experts and consumers from across the University to share our skills and expertise. There will be regular training events and activities, a forum for sharing ideas, networking opportunities, and maybe even some cake!

Our community is open to anyone at the University who works with data (i.e. everyone!) and we'd love for you to get involved.

Learn more about our Data Community on our Sharepoint page and read this blog on Digital Buzz for even more information on what to expect.
