Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office is a suite of inter-related desktop applications. Most University staff PCs currently have Microsoft Office installed. This suite includes:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Access
  • OneNote
  • Outlook

Availability

University-owned Computers

Microsoft Office is currently installed as part of the base-image on all new University owned PCs and laptops.

If you don't have it installed, Office is available for you to install yourself via the Company Portal

You must NOT download the 'Home Use' version of Office 365 to your University device.

Tablets, Mobiles and Personal Computers

Microsoft Office 365 for PC and Mac OS is available free to Staff and Students to download to your personal device(s), as long as you have an active '@exeter.ac.uk' email account. You will need this to activate your software.

Each subscription licence allows you to run Office on up to five machines including PC, MAC, iOS and Android.

Associate Account are entitled to access the tools at Microsoft Office Online at http://office.microsoft.com but are not licenced for downloading and installing the Office Desktop Applications.   Microsoft Office Online includes web based versions of all their main Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
