Module feedback
We have standardised end of module feedback across the University, from the 2025 / 2026 academic year.
We want to encourage students to actively engage in giving feedback during a module, to allow lecturers to act on any issues or ideas raised. This approach was identified in our Education Strategy.
Each student will receive the same set of questions for every module they’ve taken. This new, centralised module feedback process will improve our consistency in how student feedback is collected and used. It aims to make it easier for students to share their views on their modules and ensure that their feedback leads to meaningful improvements in teaching and learning.
How can students get involved?
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students will receive a short survey via email for each module they’re enrolled in. The survey is quick to complete and designed to be accessible and easy to understand. Participation is voluntary but highly encouraged. Academics will be provided with information and resources to promote the surveys and encourage students to take part.
The questions are universal to help with consistency across the University and enable us to identify themes and trends.
The surveys will be hosted on the Accelerate platform, designed for gathering feedback from students.
Alternatively, it is possible to access it via your module's ELE page. Students can also access the surveys via MyExeter.
Results
The data is anonymised and we are establishing a report in the MI Hub to provide access to the data and insights from the survey.
