Educator Development

The Educator Development team supports all staff involved in teaching and learning. Our mission is to support colleagues - PTAs, lecturers, and professional services staff - in developing and implementing good educational practices and enhancing the student learning experience.

The team are responsbile for a diverse portfolio of work, including the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LTHE) programme, ASPIRE Professional Recgonition Pathway (PRP), National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) and Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE), personal tutoring, doctoral supervision and transformative and inclusive education. We also provide in-faculty support, working with Directors of Education and Student Experience (DESEs) to provide bespoke education enhancement and continuing professional development opportunities, and contribute to strategic projects as expert consultants.

Through EduExe - our framework to innovate, share, celebrate - we provide online training and development through the EduExe Toolkit, case studies of best practice through the EduExe blog, discussion and debate through the EduExe podcast, and a celebration of learning and teaching each year through the EduExe Festival.
