All new appointments with the University are made subject to a satisfactory health assessment.
The assessment is carried out by the Pre-employment Questionnaire, which may be followed up by a health check, to ensure the fitness of the person for a given role.
Pre-employment assessment is to ensure as far as reasonably practicable that the applicant is fit for the job without a significantly increased risk to their own or others health and safety.
Please note: information on this questionnaire and other relevant information are confidential to the Occupational Health Service.
If you are a new employee and have health and wellbeing needs at work you can contact the Staff Disability Advisor. They can provide specialist guidance and advice to you and your manager to ensure that you are able to maintain your health and wellbeing and your performance at work.
