Upcoming Digital Humanities events

We run a termly schedule of training workshops, research seminars and other events for students and staff.  Upcoming events will be listed below. Find out more about the training we offer.

AI & the Humanities Forum

AI & the Humanities is a new fortnightly forum for anyone with an interest in the intersection of these fields to come together and share skills, experience and opinions. The format is likely to evolve in line with attendee interests, but initially we will combine a half-hour discussion of recent relevant developments, with a short introduction to a tool or method that utilises AI technology for humanities research or teaching. Discussion will focus on the opportunities, limitations and risks brought about by AI, and all are welcome.

The forum will take place on alternating Thursdays in term time in the DH Lab Seminar Room 1 (Queens), 12:30-13:30, starting Thursday November 16th. No prior registration is required (and an open door policy will be maintained), but a short email to l.isaksen[@]exeter.ac.uk in advance will help us plan numbers for seating etc.

Space & Place in the Humanities Forum

Space & Place in the Humanities is a new fortnightly forum for anyone with an interest in geospatial and place-based methods, concepts, and technologies relating to the humanities. The format is likely to evolve in line with attendee interests, but initially we will combine a half-hour discussion of recent relevant developments, with a short introduction to a tool or method utilising geospatial or place-based methods for humanities research or teaching. All are welcome.

The forum will take place on alternating Thursdays in term time in the DH Lab Seminar Room 1 (Queens), 12:30-13:30, starting Thursday November 9th. No prior registration is required (and an open door policy will be maintained), but a short email to l.isaksen[@]exeter.ac.uk in advance will help us plan numbers for seating etc.

We hope to see you at one or both!
