Working under the overarching banner of ‘Global Sustainability and Wellbeing’, Environmental Sustainability will be one of the key focus areas.

The Centre for Resilience in Environment, Water and Waste (CREWW) was established thanks to a £21million commitment from South West Water and a £10.5million grant from Research England and will enable us to undertake transdisciplinary research into how we can manage our precious natural resources in ways which are sustainable and resilient in the face of climate change and population growth.

The University of Exeter Joint Centre for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE) tackles emerging issues related to a changing environment and human health and wellbeing. The centre is a partnership with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is the first of its kind in Hong Kong.
