Second phase of qualitative study recruitment
March 17
The second phase of recruitment for the qualitative study has now opened and we are looking forward to doing more interviews with young people and young adults diagnosed with ADHD!
Currently we have interviewed 71 participants from recruitment Groups 1-4 and 37 clinicians from children’s and adult services. We have now completed interim analysis for Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3, with Group 4 being planned for April. This analysis has provided guidance for the second phase of recruitment. Data saturation (no new information or themes are arising) was shown for Group 1 (age 14-16) and Group 4 (parents) and therefore we will not be recruiting any more participants to these groups in the second phase. However, Group 2 (just transitioned to adult services) and Group 3 (re-entering services) will now continue to be recruited until the end of May 2017 using the main research sites, and 6 of the additional sites that have volunteered and have the capacity to take part:
Original Sites
Berkshire Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust
Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust
Devon Partnership NHS Trust
Devon Virgin Care
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust
Additional Sites
Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

We look forward to conducting more interviews with young adults over the next couple of months!
