Faculties and other Academic Units |
| 27.1 |
The basic unit of academic management within the University shall be the Faculty. Faculties may be established, reconstituted and disestablished by the Council on the recommendation of the Senate. |

The Council on the recommendation of the Senate may designate Schools and Centres within Faculties; such Schools and Centres shall have no managerial authority or responsibility. |
| 27.3 |
The Council on the recommendation of the Senate may establish Centres, Institutes, Schools and other academic units outwith Faculties under such conditions as the Council shall from time to time prescribe. |
