Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Executive Deanships of Faculties |
| 28.1 |
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Executive Deans of Faculties shall be appointed by the Council on the recommendation of the Senate. The Vice-Chancellor shall, following an open and transparent process which may include internal and external advertisement and interview, make a nomination to Senate for onward transmission to Council. |
| 28.2 |
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Executive Deans shall be appointed for a period of five years from 1 August in any given year. Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Executive Deans shall be eligible for reappointment for one further term. |
| 28.3 |
If the Office of Pro-Vice-Chancellor & Executive Dean should fall empty before the expiry of the agreed period of tenure, a locum appointment may be made by the Vice-Chancellor until the procedures referred to in paragraph 28.1 can be operated. |
