University Examinations for Research Degrees |
| 3.1 |
The Examinations for Research Degrees of the University, including Research Modules or Theses for Professional Doctorates, shall be conducted by such of the members of the Academic Staff of the University and by External Examiners as prescribed by the Ordinances or Regulations or by directions of the Senate. |
| 3.2 |
The Ordinances and Regulations shall prescribe the subject and mode of the Examinations and the Research Degrees and distinctions to be conferred by the University. All examinations for Research Degrees of the University shall be conducted jointly by internal assessors and by External Examiners approved by the Postgraduate Research Board on behalf of the Senate in accordance with Chapter 12 of the Postgraduate Research Handbook of the Teaching Quality Assurance Manual. |
| 3.3 |
No candidate who has failed to comply with the conditions laid down in the relevant Ordinances and Regulations shall be admitted to a University examination. |
| 3.4 |
No candidate against whom an order of suspension or exclusion is in force shall be admitted to a University examination. |
