Ordinance 38

38	Programmes of Study Pursued Wholly or in Part in Institutions Associated with the University
38.1	In accordance with Ordinance 8 (2), the University will accept attendance at programmes as specified in Schedule A below in place of attendance at programmes of study in the University necessary to qualify for the specified award.
	The inclusion of programmes in Schedule A shall be with the agreement of Senate on the recommendation of the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board as appropriate.
38.2	In accordance with Ordinance 8 (2), the University will also permit, in place of attendance at the University, attendance by its students at programmes as specified in Schedule B below which are offered elsewhere in conjunction with a Faculty or other academic unit of the University.
	The inclusion of programmes in Schedule B shall be with the agreement of Senate on the recommendation of the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board as appropriate.
38.3	The University may co-operate with other universities in the delivery of awards and in the award of joint or double degrees with the agreement of Senate on the recommendation of the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board as appropriate.
38.4	Responsibility under Senate for the oversight of approved programmes, and responsibility for making recommendations to Senate for the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates to students who have fulfilled the requirements of such programmes shall rest with the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board as appropriate.

10	PGCE (PCE): Colleges of: Exeter, South Devon, Yeovil
11	Professional Graduate Certification in Education: The Learning Institute
12	PG Cert: The Learning Institute

SCHEDULE B

1	MA by Research, MSc by Research, MPhil or PhD: Attendance at an institution or a research establishment recognised for the purpose in Regulations.
2	Such programmes as may from time to time be approved by Senate on the recommendation of the Education Board or Postgraduate Research Board as appropriate.
