Accreditation
Our LLB programmes provide an excellent start to a legal career if that is your goal, equipping you with the knowledge and skills that will support you towards the next steps to professional legal qualification. This includes the 'foundations of legal knowledge' subjects required for the academic stage of qualification as a barrister. If you plan to qualify as a solicitor or barrister, after you graduate you will need to comply with the further training and other requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board, or the relevant regulatory body in the country in which you intend to practice.

The Law with Business course is holistic and engaging. My favourite part of this course is the mock trials that are held throughout the year. It makes you think critically about how to structure legal arguments and put yourself in the shoes of certain clients or lawyers.
I love the fact that I can discuss engaging topics about the nature of law in the real world with my professors. I think that the business modules give you a wide variety to choose from in your law degree and are a great addition to your skillset. Penryn is a beautiful place, I find that it's a great place to focus on your studies.

Why choose a year on an Industrial Placement?
Spending up to a year carrying out a graduate-level work placement as part of your degree programme is an invaluable opportunity. It unlocks a world of experience that allows you to develop essential employability and transferrable skills for your future career. You will take full responsibility for finding and organising your placement in a business setting of your choosing (either in the UK or abroad), with preparation, support and approval from the University.
