What has been the highlight of your time at Exeter?

Getting involved in numerous societies such as the Exeter University Pool and Snooker Club (EUSPC) where I played in both the BUCS 8-ball Pool and BUCS Snooker events. Another society I was heavily involved in during my second year was Global Exe and I played a leading role in one of the performances we ran on campus.

What will you miss the most about University?

The community. Having moved back to London I have missed the strong sense of community that both the University of Exeter and the surrounding city of Exeter has.

What did you enjoy about your particular degree programme?

I had the opportunity to be lectured by leading academics in their respective field of study. I always knew that the lecturer would be an expert in the field and would bring that passion and knowledge with them in every lecture.

What advice would you give to current and future students?

The same advice that was given to me by previous students which is: ‘Just keep pushing, it is worth it’. Your time at university can be a rollercoaster full of intense periods and relatively quiet periods where you have less on your to-do-list. Using those quieter periods to plan and anticipate the busier periods when deadlines begin to mount can be invaluable.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I am now back in London working for the National Citizens Service (Powered by The Challenge) as a senior mentor, working with a group of 15-17 year olds to help them become socially active in their community. I will be doing this over the summer before beginning a Fundraising and Marketing Graduate Scheme at Cancer Research UK. I am very much looking forward to the Graduate Scheme and entering the world of work!
