Mail Room

Mail Room

The University Central Mailroom has remained open, since March 2020, and continues to do so. This means that we are currently holding mail and parcels, which we have been receiving during all the lockdowns. Due to volumes we are holding, still receiving and lack of most staff being back on site, we are unable to provide the usual collection/delivery service.

The mailroom will be open Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30 (excluding public holidays and University closure days)

Outgoing mail is now being processed Monday to Friday.

There are various options available to everyone, for collection and delivery of mail/parcels.

In the first instance, if you would like to find out if you or your department/college have any post, please email mailroom@exeter.ac.uk

Move it request

https://www.exeter.ac.uk/campushelp/porterage/moveitrequest/  (Select the earliest date the calendar allows. Your request will be booked in for the first available date, unless you state a specific date/time)

  1. Collection and drop off on campus (C&C)
This is the preferred option. Please book a time slot using the C&C link above to collect from us or drop off mail to us.
  2. Delivery/collection (on campus)
If you are on campus, but unable to use C&C, please complete a ‘move it’ request form using the link above.
  3. Delivery/collection (off campus less than 10 miles)
If you are still working from home, and live within 10 miles, we would ask that you book via C&C and come to site. If this is not practical, please use the ‘move it’ request form. We will deliver to and collect directly from your home.
  4. Delivery/collection (off campus more than 10 miles)
Please email mailroom@exeter.ac.uk providing your home address. Items will be sent to you either by Royal Mail or ParcelForce. We can also provide remote collection from your home address back to campus, or onwards for standard mail/parcel items. Please contact us for more details.

St Lukes

Refer to points 1-4, however we will be visiting the Facilities Assistants (Porters) lodge, at 12:00 each day to collect any outbound mail and drop off any requested mail.

Magazines

Please note that magazines are currently being held separately to the rest of the mail and parcels. Due to volume of these alone, we have done this to prioritise letters and parcels. Where possible please amend your subscriptions to your home address.
