Based at the University’s Cornwall Campus near Falmouth, you will work with leading research experts exploring the latest technological advances in this socially critical area of investigation.
The group works very much in an inter-disciplinary manner with expertise and capacity over a range of engineering and science areas along with Energy Policy, but is also in close collaborations with ecologists and environmental scientists. Particular areas of note are marine renewable energy; power conditioning and grid interconnection; solar; energy storage, carbon capture and storage and biomass (anaerobic digestion). Energy policy research is focused on; renewable heat; marine energy and technology innovation.
Based at the University's Cornwall Campus, the group boasts world leading research facilities. The group has world leading infra-structure for its marine renewable research as well as a state of the art power lab with numerical and real time simulation capabilities. Although the group's activities are centred on excellence in research it has a strong ethos of working with industry and as well as key EPSRC and NERC research projects we have a significant number of TSB and Carbon Trust joint awards with external partners. The group also has several Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and industrially funded post graduate researchers.

English language requirements
Overall score 6.0. No less than 6.0 in any section.
Overall score 87 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.
Pearson Test of English (Academic)
55 overall with no less than 55 in all communicative skills.

Tuition fees per year 2018/19
- UK/EU: £4,400 full-time; £2,200 part-time
- International: £23,000 full-time
