Graduation

Completing your research degree is a big milestone and therefore it deserves to be commemorated. Attending your graduation ceremony allows you to celebrate your achievement with friends and family, whilst marking your university career.

Graduation at the University of Exeter takes place twice a year. A summer graduation, normally in July, in both Exeter and Cornwall, and a winter graduation, normally in December, in Exeter only. As a Postdoctoral graduate, you will be invited to attend a ceremony along with your fellow graduates from your College. For information on the graduation process, how to register and a link to the timetable see the University Graduation Pages.

As a graduate from the University of Exeter, a forever institution, you will be joining a community of more than 140,000 alumni from 183 countries across the world. Our alumni are looked after by our Alumni team who offer a wide range of support and resources, details of which can be found on our alumni office webpage. As well as the resources offered by the Alumni team, you will also have access to the resources from the Career Zone forever through our Exeter Forever scheme.

We would like to congratulate all of our graduating Postgraduate Research students (PGRs) #Exeterforever

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no graduations took place in 2020, instead, a special online graduation ceremony took place online. All those due to graduate in 2020 have been invited to a graduation ceremony due to take place in the summer of 2022.
