Workshop Grant Scheme

The Workshop Grant Scheme is designed to foster links between academic communities at the University of Queensland and the University of Exeter, and subsequently lead to the development of collaborative research, or teaching and learning, projects. Ten Workshop Grants of £3,500/ A$6,500 (five led by each institution) will be awarded each academic year.

The grant itself is available to fund the delivery of, and attendance at, joint workshops and symposia. Workshops and symposia should aim to:

  • Explore novel research concepts, likely to lead to the receipt of significant external funding
  • Investigate opportunities for ground-breaking, interdisciplinary research
  • Address  critical challenges which relate to the QUEX themes
  • Concentrate on issues which can most effectively be addressed in partnership with colleagues at UQ
  • Demonstrate clear added value as a result of collaboration from the QUEX Institute
  • Focus on the development of new, shared, and significantly enhanced educational provision (Only applicable to teaching and learning projects)

The deadline for submitting applications for the 2023-24 academic year has now closed. Please check back here in summer 2024 for further information about the next round of grants. You can also contact the QUEX Team (quex@exeter.ac.uk) with any queries you may have.
