Career
During his Mphys, Tom worked on applying Markov chain Monte Carlo methods to astronomical research.
After developing scientific educational resources at a publishing company, Tom then worked as a Scientific Software engineer at the Met Office. As a member of the Air Dispersion and Quality (ADAQ) group, he was primarily focused on developing a framework for accessing and analysing air quality data, as well as improving reproducibility and robustness of research and emergency response systems.
Tom is currently working on Project Bluebird, mainly in Python and Typescript + React.
