HR Casework
We provide confidential advice and support to managers on all aspects of HR casework and work with colleagues in the HR Partnering team and the Legal Counsel – Employment, to ensure that casework is progressed in accordance with the University’s policies and procedures.
HR Casework is varied and our services range from providing initial advice to managers and HR colleagues when concerns are first identified through to progression of cases from investigation and/or informal stages through the formal stages of University procedures, including hearings and appeals. We provide support and guidance to Investigating Officers and panels within the framework of University policies, procedures and the ACAS code of practice.

Investigating Officers
We are seeking members of staff in any academic or professional services job family at grade F or above to be trained as Investigating Officers to support our formal investigations. We are keen to broaden the diversity of our Investigating Officer team and would particularly welcome interest from groups currently under-represented within our working community.
