MyCareerZone platform: Privacy summary
The University uses MyCareerZone to provide careers support, appointments, events, job opportunities, and employability programmes.
We automatically import basic information about you from the Student Information System, such as your name, email address, course, year of study, and student status. You may also choose to add more information yourself (e.g., CVs, appointment notes, surveys).
We process your data under Legitimate Interests, so we can deliver effective employability support and keep you informed about opportunities relevant to your studies and career goals.
We share your data only with:
- GTI Futures Ltd, the supplier of the MyCareerZone platform (as our contracted service provider)
- Other university departments where necessary
- Employers or external partners only when you apply, register, or give consent
You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, objection, and deletion. You can opt out of this personal data sharing by emailing us at careers@exeter.ac.uk
