The coronation emblem of King Charles III. A circular motif on a white background, flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom depicted in red: roses (England), thistles (Scotland), daffodils (Wales) and shamrocks (Northern Ireland). In the centre of the circle, the same flora are arranged, in blue, in the shape of St Edward’s Crown, used for the coronation of British monarchs.

Coronation Celebration Concert

Performed by the University of Exeter Chapel Choir

To mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, everyone is invited to our special celebratory concert, which will draw on the rich historical tradition of coronation music, with royal anthems by Elgar, Parry, and Vaughan Williams.

The event will include the hymns I Vow to Thee My Country and Jerusalem for those attending to join in with if they wish.

The concert will be followed by free Pimm's, served on the Chapel Piazza if the weather is fine, otherwise in the Old Library, just opposite the Chapel.

This event, which takes place on Wednesday 10th May, is in place of the usual service of Choral Evensong.
