Last updated:
9th September 2022

The Mary Harris Memorial Chapel (Streatham Campus) is open every day, both for private prayer and services.

St Luke's Chapel (St Luke's Campus) will be open all day on Friday 9th September for those who wish to pray or light a candle, following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

To get in touch you can contact the Lazenby Chaplain or email the Anglican Chaplaincy.

About us

We follow the teachings of Jesus the Christ, who taught 2,000 years ago that we should love God with heart, soul, mind and strength, and love our neighbour as ourself. Read more about our ethos.

The Chapels

The Mary Harris Memorial Chapel (Streatham Campus) and St Luke's Chapel (St Luke's Campus) provide quiet spaces to simply be.

Both are beautiful, peaceful buildings and you are welcome to come and sit for as long as you like, and to light a candle. They are open to everyone.

Join our online chapel community

An Anglican Chapel Friends facebook group has been set up for students and staff who would like to keep in touch and share prayer requests, and we are using Zoom for online prayer and discussion groups.

You don't need to have been a Chapel attendee or consider yourself to be a Christian to join either of these – all students and staff are very welcome.

Prayer

We have a board in the Mary Harris Chapel on which people can leave prayers, so if you are on campus then do pop in, rest for a while in the space and, if you so wish, leave something on the board. All prayers are read and prayed for regularly.

If you are unable to physically come to the Chapel, then please do email us instead at anglicanchaplaincy@exeter.ac.uk with the heading 'Prayer Board’. No prayer is too big or small and everyone is welcome to submit a prayer or thought. If it matters to you, then it matters.
