Grand Challenges 2022

UniMIND

Peer support groups allow students to talk to other students about their mental health problems. This avoids some barriers, allowing students access to support earlier, and is a proven method for increasing student mental wellbeing. Groups would be sized from 6 to 10 people, with weekly sessions facilitated by trained student volunteers which would take 60-90 minutes. It would be advertised across university and online, including Instagram, by the Guild, on a Forum stall, and from tutors, ensuring every student who could ned it would know about it.
