Role

Allison leads the Research Performance, Impact and Integrity team. Members of the team cover a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Research Excellence Framework (REF).
  • Impact and Engaged Research.
  • Research Performance.
  • Ethics and Integrity.
  • Research Communications.

Profile.

Allison moved to this role in March 2015, following two years as Research Performance Analyst within the same team (held jointly with Strategic Planning). She has also held positions in Research Development Team and in Researcher Development (Employability and Graduate Development).

Allison joined the University from the South West of England Regional Development Agency, where she was a senior regional and local economic analyst.

Prior to her move to Exeter, she worked in the Mathematical Sciences Programme team at the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

She has a degree and PhD in microbiology, with 10 years’ experience in biosciences research at the University of Aberdeen.
