Engaged Research Manager

Role

Grace coordinates the University’s delivery of engaged research activity. Engaged research encompasses the different ways that researchers meaningfully interact with various stakeholders over any or all stages of a research process.

She is responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives for engaged research and creating enabling conditions and policies for high quality engaged research to take place.

Profile

Grace has worked within Public Engagement for almost ten years, including project managing the Exeter Catalyst, one of the RCUK Catalysts for Public Engagement with Research. Prior to joining the University, Grace worked for the Economic and Social Research Council and Research Councils UK.

She has vast experience of supporting and academics in public engagement; including providing training and helping to engage a wide variety of audiences with research. She is a peer reviewer for Wellcome Trust’s Provision for Public Engagement.
