Overview

In her capacity as the Systems Coordinator for the Profiles Project, Kate undertakes a pivotal role aimed at optimising the accessibility, connectivity, and collaboration potential for the Univeristy of Exeter's personnel among external stakeholders. The project will enhance staff profile pages on the university website by adopting Symplectic, a software solution, to improve functionality. Additionally, it will introduce Symplectic's Discovery Module, a new search tool, to enhance user search experience.

Career

With a diverse background spanning educational institutions and non-profit organisations, Kate brings a wealth of experience in programme management, governance, evaluation and data analytics. As a Mathematics Teacher and Mentor at UTC Plymouth, Kate has been responsible for crafting and delivering engaging math lessons for students, while also driving data-driven improvements through assessment analysis. At the Tropical Health and Education Trust, Kate served as a Country Programmes Officer, facilitating seamless programme coordination, managing critical information, and aiding in the preparation of programme reports. During her tenure at CLIC Sargent, she contributed to successful project implementations, introducing new systems and grant initiatives, and driving impactful data management practices. Kate's leadership capabilities were honed as the Country Director for Xavier Project in Uganda, where she skillfully oversaw programme execution, managed operations, and spearheaded strategic development efforts, including the establishment of partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
