Overview
Shane is responsible for advising on, analysing and visualising information about the University's research and contextualising that within national and international landscapes.
He has several years' experience working as a data analyst in research information. He worked in a similar role at Exeter from 2015 to 2022. He then spent ~18 months working with software developers Digital Science on making data from the Dimensions database more accessible to end users, before rejoining Exeter in January 2024.
He is an Exeter graduate, having studied Mathematics and Physics at undergraduate level from 2008 to 2011.
