Research Development Manager (Leverhulme Trust)

Role

Sarah is a research development manager responsible for managing the University of Exeter’s Leverhulme Trust portfolio.

This involves developing research projects, managing and facilitating collaborations both within and beyond the University of Exeter. Sarah also works closely with the University of Exeter Humanities and Social Science (HASS) strategic initiative.

Profile.

Sarah has a background in research and public policy. Previously she has worked in Research, Policy and Scrutiny at a North East local authority and in particular developed and managed research around the EU Smart Specialisation Strategy. Following this, Sarah then led a research project at Citizens Advice Bureau investigating welfare reform changes.

Since 2013, Sarah has been based in the Geography department at the University of Exeter completing an ESRC funded doctorate investigating gerontological experiences of post-disaster recovery.

Sarah has a BA in Geography and a MA in Human Geography Research.
