Debbie is a Case-Support Officer (Maths and Engineering) and Research Development Manager (Research and KnowledgeTransfer).
This largely involves supporting academics with bringing together consortium for large, complex cross-college, inter-disciplinary bids mainly into the MRC, EPSRC and Wellcome Trust.
Debbie was awarded her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2003, which investigated pharmacokinetics, toxicology and pharmacodynamics of novel agents (GlaxoSmithKline).
She then held postdoctoral positions at the University of Leicester in Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine. Subsequent positions included working at University Hospitals Bristol in the Clinical Trials Unit (Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery) and the University of Exeter Medical School.
She moved into her current role in January 2015.
