MyPGR

MyPGR is an online facility for the tracking of postgraduate research (PGR) student progress. The system delivers a consistent approach to the management of PGR students, enabling improved reporting and ensuring an enhanced experience for students.

This page is intended to give you a brief overview of MyPGR and tell you how you can find out more.

Students

PGR students on all programmes are given access to the system upon registering. MyPGR can be accessed via SRS.

Staff

University of Exeter supervisors have access to MyPGR via SRS for all PGR students.

Supervisors based at other HEIs or in industry have access to the system provided they are recorded on SITS as a member of the student's supervisory team.

College management with responsibility for PGRs have management oversight screens for the system, and College PGR administrators also have similar oversight screens.

What does MyPGR do?

MyPGR provides an online tool which records meetings between students and supervisors and mentors: students take responsibility for arranging meetings and writing them up, and meetings can be set-up and signed off by more than one supervisor.

MyPGR specifies a minimum number of meetings (contact events) across the year with the deadline for completion of each event the end of the month in which the event falls.

The interface allows for upload of documents, and provides useful information about the student, drawn from the Student Records system.

Management of registration processes: interruptions, upgrades and change to continuation status requests are managed through MyPGR.

Nomination of Examiners: Boards of Examiners are nominated and approved through MyPGR.

Finding Out More

To get a better understanding of how the system works, you might like to take a look at the MyPGR training pages, which include screenshots of the system, along with video introductions demonstrating how to set up events in MYPGR.

MyPGR user manuals can be found on the MyPGR manuals page.

Information is also available on the project parameters, via the Strategic Change website for this project.
