Online module selection
Online module selection is offered in the March prior to the academic year in which the modules will be studied. Following this selection period, the timetable for the upcoming year will be built based on the enrolment numbers received.
Once selections have been processed by your department, you will receive a confirmation e-mail of your choices.
You may request a change to your confirmed choice of modules, although requests to change are not always possible due to module availability and/or timetabling. Changes are at the discretion of the discipline(s) involved.
Requests to change modules are considered three times per year. For more information on when and how to change one of your optional module selections, please read the 'how do I change a module' section
Confirmation of modules and optional choice
Your core modules will appear on your record when you register at the University, usually at the end of August for students entering an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme in September. If your programme structure allows you to choose optional modules, online module selection will also be opened at this point.
Via online module selection, you will be able to choose optional modules within your discipline, as well as having access to a selection from the Foreign Language Centre.
If you would like to take a module from another discipline, you may be able to do this when you arrive on campus if there is space available and it fits with your core timetable. You should visit the discipline which owns the module via the relevant Info Point/Education Support Office for further information.
You may request a change to Term 2 modules if your programme structure allows it, although changes are not always possible due to module availability and/or timetabling restrictions. Changes are at the discretion of the discipline(s) involved.
Requests to change Term 2 modules will be considered after the end of term 1. For more information on when and how to change one of your optional module selections, please read the 'how do I change a module' section
