Transcripts and certificates

Alumni can obtain copies of their degree transcripts and certificates from the University.

Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)

In 2014-15, the University phased in a new Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) that replaces degree transcripts.

To find out whether this affects you, visit the HEAR information for alumni page

If you are  eligible and haven't received your transcript, we might have already registered an account for you. Please check your university email account for an email from Gradintel.com and ensure that it didn't go to the junk/spam folder. This email will have a link for you to activate your account.

If you cannot find the email or the activation link has expired, please contact Gradintel at customerservices@gradintel.com providing the following information: (1) Full Name, (2) Date of Birth, (3) University Student ID, and (4) University Email Address.

If you would like more information about your HEAR transcript, contact candidatesupport@gradintel.com or visit the gradintel website. Alternatively, read more about HEAR at Exeter.

Transcripts issued by the University show information about the qualification awarded, the modules taken during the study period, and the credits for each module taken.

Transcripts can be ordered and paid for via our online store.

Winter 2020 Graduation Document FAQ

The vast majority of graduation documents have been recently posted and sent via Royal Mail or Royal Mail International post to the home address (not your term time address) registered on your student record. Due to the current impact of COVID measures in many countries as well as increased volume of post due to the UK Christmas period, there may be delays in receiving your physical documents for which we are sorry, but these are outside of the University’s control. These documents were sent earlier than in a usual year where Winter Graduation would have taken place as planned (mid-December).

If you do not receive your documents via Royal Mail by the end of January 2021, then please email sid@exeter.ac.uk with “Transcript Document Reprint” in the subject line and we will reprint the documents to be re-sent.

If you did not receive your documents because you had not kept your home address up to date in your student record, then you will be able to purchase replacement copies from the online store. Please note that we also hope to make the option of DHL delivery available for purchase again in January.

Please be aware that purchasing new documents from the online store will not mean that you will receive a set of documents more quickly. These purchased documents are printed using the same process and so this will not fast track postage.

All University of Exeter graduates on eligible programmes have access to the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). This is an enhanced transcript that provides confirmation of your degree as well as information on academic achievements, prizes and awards as well as selected extra curricular achievements such as elected positions on societies. HEARs may be used by employers or educational institutions to verify the results and achievements of an applicant.
