Law LLB 2016

What did you enjoy about your degree programme?

The aspect I enjoyed most about Law is the intellectual challenge the subject poses. Across a huge variety of modules there are so many different and interesting facets to legal studies. Studying Law has equipped me with a number of transferable skills which will prove useful in my professional life.

Tell us about the award you have received. What does this award mean to you?

This year, I have been lucky enough to receive the Public International Award, given to the student who achieves the highest overall mark in the Public International Law module. This award reflects the time and effort I dedicated to this module, largely due to my enjoyment of the subject matter and the excellent teaching staff.

What has been the highlight of your time at Exeter?

The highlight of my university experience at Exeter has been meeting so many fantastic people with a huge variety of experiences and interests. I have formed many lifelong friendships at Exeter and will never forget my time and the people I met here.

What will you miss the most about university?

It’s difficult to choose just one thing that I will miss about Exeter, my whole time here has been so fantastic! I will miss all the fantastic friends I have made here, as well as the great opportunities provided to me by the Law School during my time here.

What advice would you give to current and future students?

The advice I would give to current and future students is to make the most of your time in Exeter by getting involved in anything and everything! Joining societies and sports teams will widen your network at university, as well as building skills for the future.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I am excited to start my LPC at the University of Law in London in September. Once my studies are completed I will commence my training contract with Ashurst, an opportunity I am hugely looking forward to!
