Overview

I am a material scientist with expertise in various material synthesis and characterization techniques. My current work involves the synthesis and development of advanced novel materials using green synthesis processes along with their in-depth characterization and corresponding device fabrication for the wide interdisciplinary field of application including energy conversion and storage, solar cells, photocatalysis, water-splitting, hydrogen fuel generation, anti-soiling coatings, and wastewater management, which would directly help in acquiring a sustainable society.

During my Ph.D., I developed cost-effective, highly sensitive, and selective room temperature-based metal oxide gas sensors for detecting toxic NOX in the atmosphere which causes health hazards and even death. I also developed biosensors for the detection of Bisphenol A, a pollutant coming from plastics, involved synthesizing magnetic nanoparticles coated with anti-BPA antibody by covalent immobilization and competitive assay. Additionally, I have experience in the development of multiferroics doped with rare earth metals for magnetic applications.
