Heritage research
Heritage research
Incorporating a broad-based approach, heritage research at the University of Exeter encompasses all aspects of tangible, intangible, digital and critical heritage, the processes that inform them, and the connections between them. Drawing on extensive expertise across multiple disciplines, and harnessing a diverse range of approaches, skills and partners, our heritage research also connects with developments in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects to ensure that our contribution to the field is dynamic, integrated and policy-relevant. As a result, our research not only contributes to intellectual debate, but also responds to contemporary UK and international challenges relating to ethics, justice, human rights, environment and identity.
Our commitment to applying understanding through research and practice-based projects with regional, national and international partners means that our research has significant and far-reaching impact in the heritage sector. Take a look at some of our projects.
