Until now, every two years the University has conducted an internal review to assess the performance of the University in meeting its obligations under the Researcher Concordat and to gauge progress against actions arising from the previous evaluation. The outcomes of this are a report and 2 year action plan that is submitted to the HR Excellence in Research Award panel. The original strategy called the Concordat Implementation Plan (CIP) was produced in 2009.

From 2023, these reviews will be conducted on a three year cycle, so our current action plan is for the period 2023-2026.

Year 12 review (2023)

The HR Excellence in Research 12 Year Review Report reflects our continued, successful focus on research culture along with the significant post-pandemic re-engagement of researchers in development and career activities. We also record important progress with contract precarity and also with Leadership, EDI and wellbeing initiatives.
