About this course:

All good data management strategies start by planning ahead, and as such, a Data Management Plan (DMP) is an integral component of any research project.

They are also required by many funders.

This virtual webinar will provide you with an introduction to DMPs, explaining what they are, why they are important, and ensure you have the knowledge and support to write your own DMP.

The webinar will also explore DMPonline, a tool that will help guide you through the process of writing a DMP.

DMPonline also allows you to write your DMP collaboratively and to receive feedback on your DMP from the Open Research team.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand what a data management plan is and why it is important.

- Be aware of the tools and resources available to help you write a DMP.

- Write a DMP for your project.
