Handshake account information

This page has information regarding Handshake accounts. If you have any questions contact us.

Current Students

If you are currently enrolled on an eligible course at the University of Exeter, sign in using the Current Students and SSO option using your @exeter email address.

Prospective Students

If you are about to start studies at Exeter, your Handshake account will be set up by a feed from the Student Record System (SRS) once your programme status is enrolled. If you sign up before your programme status is enrolled, you may get the message account awaiting approval. Once you are fully enrolled your account should be available.

Alumni

  • Still have access to your @exeter email. You will be able to access your account with your @exeter email for as long as you have access to this email address. We recommend you add a personal email address to ensure continued access to Handshake when your @exeter email expires.
  • No longer have access to your @exeter email. If you added an additional email to your Handshake account you should be able to access using that. Choose the Alumni option when logging in. If you did not add a personal email to Handshake, please complete this form to regain access to Handshake

Staff

We allow staff access to Handshake in order to assist students. You can sign in using your @exeter email and type in staff when prompted. Alternatively if you are a member of staff seeking personal development opportunities, please visit the staff development web page.

Admin access

If you are a member of SEAS staff please ask your line manager to complete the new staff form. If you are not in SEAS, please contact Career Zone at careers@exeter.ac.uk, outlining why you need admin access to Handshake.
