New postgraduate students - HASS Exeter
Welcome – it's great to know you’ll be joining us as a postgraduate in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences this year. This page contains information for postgraduate taught (PGT) students who will be studying in Exeter. PGT students are those studying for an MA or MRes.
If you are studying for an MPhil or a PhD then you are a Postgraduate Research (PGR) student; if this applies to you, please see the Doctoral College website for your induction information.
If you are studying in Cornwall, please see the page for new postgraduates studying in Cornwall.
Please ensure you check this page frequently for updates, as well as your personal email account, new University of Exeter email account and your My Timetable for the most up-to date information from us. You must have registered with the University and activated your IT account to access My Timetable.
The purpose of Academic Induction is to introduce you to your academic programme, complete any necessary pre-registration tasks, familiarise yourself with your academic buildings, and meet fellow students and the academic staff for your subjects. These sessions form the core part of your Welcome Week timetable and we expect all new students to be present.
You can find a list of Academic Induction events and activities for your subject/s, as well as other relevant information below.
