Are you staying on campus in Exeter over the summer? If so, you may find the below information on opening times, services and events, available within the University, helpful.

Most facilities and services will be available as normal (following out of term opening hours). 

Over the summer there is a full programme of sport 'Pitch Up and Play' (PUAP) and Students' Guild 'Give it a go' sessions. Please see their websites for further details. More events will be added each week.  

Plus, feel free to check out the campus community gardens in Streatham (in the link, search "Exeter Community Garden" for more information) and St Luke's (in the link, search "St Luke's Volunteer Gardening Group (SLUG)" for more information), where you can join on Wednesdays or Saturdays.

Out of term opening hours:
SID: Monday – Friday,  09:00 – 17:00
Hubs: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

The IT Service Desk will be open 08:00 – 18:00 Monday – Friday over the summer period.

The desk will be closed for lunch between 13.00-14.00, telephone services will remain open during this time.

The Digital Hub in The Forum will be open in person Monday to Thursday between 09:00 and 17:00, and online Bookings available on Fridays between 09:30 and 16:00. 
The Digital Hub SharePoint also provides a wide range of guides on the university’s digital tools.
The Digital Hub will be closed on the Bank Holiday - Monday 31 August.
 
The Digital Hub in St Lukes will be closed. 

The Student Health centre will be offering NHS GP services to students from 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays.

Please where possible continue to use Online Consultations and call 01392 6766676 if you have an urgent request. We can provide virtual appointments via the telephone or video and will arrange face to face assessments if clinically required.  St Thomas Medical Group | NHS GP Surgery

If you would like to request repeat medication please email d-icb.stthomasp@nhs.net detailing the medication you require. If you have not had the medication prescribed by the Student Health Centre team before, please send us an online consultation form.

Outside of these hours please phone NHS 111 for non-urgent medical advice. For medical emergencies please call 999.

International Student Advice are available 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays) and can be contacted in the usual ways.

If there is an immediate emergency and you require police, fire or ambulance call 999. In case of overdose you must seek immediate medical help by calling 999, even if you do not feel unwell. The effects of an overdose can be delayed by hours (even days) and can be fatal.
For non-urgent support, there is a lot of information, advice and guidance on the University’s Wellbeing and Support webpages. This includes apps, webinars and workbooks which you may find helpful. 

You can access a wide range of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy based support online through Living Life to the Full, including courses on low mood, anxiety and stress. You can access Living Life to the Full through our A-Z of support services.

All students have access to Togetherall which is an online support community, offering peer and professional support and is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.
Postgraduate research students can also access Spectrum Life for counselling and support .

Our Chaplaincy Team are offering Time to Talk sessions (one to one non-judgemental listening sessions) over the summer vacation. Click here to book a session. 

Outside of Time to Talk, students are always welcome to contact us over the summer by email on chaplaincy@exeter.ac.uk to arrange to meet with a Chaplain at a different time, in person or online / by phone.

If you're experiencing any challenges whether academic, personal, wellbeing-related, or simply want someone to talk things through with, your Pastoral Mentor is here to support you. They can also signpost you to other support services and work closely with your academics to ensure you’re supported throughout. 

If your department has a Pastoral Mentor in place, you can contact them directly. If a Pastoral Mentor is not yet in place, you can still reach out to your Personal Tutor or the Education Welfare Team for guidance.

Forum Library remains open 24/7 throughout the Summer break, helpdesk open 10:00-16:00 Monday - Sunday, with the exception of Monday 31 August (UK Bank Holiday) when our helpdesks will close. You will need your Unicard for access overnight

St Luke’s library remains open 24/7 throughout the Summer break, helpdesk open 10:00-16:00 Monday - Friday, with the exception of Monday 31 August (UK Bank Holiday) when our helpdesks will close. You will need your Unicard for access at all times.

Old Library remains open as usual, 08:00-20:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00-18:00 at weekends.

Pitch Up and Play 
Our Pitch Up and Play program will continue over the summer break and is a great opportunity to try new sports and activities for free.

All students are welcome, please reserve a ticket so that we know you are coming. Sports and activities will include badminton, rounders, table tennis, swimming  and many more!

Fitness Class Timetables
We have many great  Fitness classes happening even though the Summer break at Streatham and St Lukes. 

The Estate Patrol Control Room is staffed 24/7 this includes the Summer vacation period. Estate Patrol Officers will be available to provide advice, direction and attend incidents as required. The non-emergency telephone line is 01392 723999, in cases of emergency individuals should contact the emergency services on 999 and then contact the Estate Patrol through their emergency line 01392 722222.

We’re still here for you over the summer. While our Streatham and St Luke’s Receptions will be closed, Devonshire House and G48 will stay open for students on campus to study or catch up with friends.
