We wanted to highlight some of the events happening in Exeter city over the summer months. 
 
10-11 June   Exeter Respect Festival 
Free cultural fesitval. Belmont Park, Exeter

Free live music at the Quay, Transit Shed adjacent to the Custom House.
Every Sunday until 27 August (apart from 30 July) 
 
6 July 11am Lammas Fair
Ancient procession of the Lammas Glove, the High Sheriffs Coach, dignitaries and schoolchildren down the High Street to the Guildhall dating back to Norma Conquest, more than 900 years ago.
 
6-8 July various Exeter Craft Fair
A celebration of art, craft and entertainment on Exeter Cathedral Green.  
 
9-12 August   Big Screen in the Park
T
his year's films include ET, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Dirty Dancing. £5 student tickets in advance. 
 
8-17 September   Heritage Open Days
Events happening all across the country. Opportunities to check out Exeter library's 'Special Collections' dating back to 1480 or try printmaking at the Phoenix.

The Student Health centre will be offering NHS GP services to students from 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays.

Please where possible continue to use Online Consultations and call 01392 6766676 if you have an urgent request. We can provide virtual appointments via the telephone or video and will arrange face to face assessments if clinically required.  St Thomas Medical Group | NHS GP Surgery

If you would like to request repeat medication please email d-icb.stthomasp@nhs.net detailing the medication you require. If you have not had the medication prescribed by the Student Health Centre team before, please send us an online consultation form.

Outside of these hours please phone NHS 111 for non-urgent medical advice. For medical emergencies please call 999.

Wellbeing Services will be open 9-17.00 Monday - Friday throughout the summer period.

There is also a lot of information, advice and guidance on the University’s Wellbeing and Support webpages. This includes apps, webinars and workbooks which you may find helpful. 

You an access a wide range of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy based support online through Living Life to the Full, including courses on low mood, anxiety and stress. You can access Living Life to the Full through our A-Z of support services.

All students have access to Togetherall which is an online support community, offering peer and professional support and is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Postgraduate research students can also access Spectrum Life for counselling and support .

If you are experiencing difficulties with your mental health and want to speak with someone urgently you can call First Response on 08081968708 First Response Service | DPT

You can also contact The Samaritans on 116123. Or 999 in an emergency.

Our Chaplaincy Team are offering Time to Talk sessions (one to one non-judgemental listening sessions) over the summer vacation. Click here to book a session. 

Library help and support will be available throughout the Summer through our 24/7 chat service. Please follow prompts to 'Ask Us' on our webpages

Forum Library remains open 24/7 throughout the Summer break, helpdesk open 10:00-16:00 Monday - Sunday, with the exception of the 28th August (bank holiday) when our helpdesks will close. 

Old Library remains open as usual.

St Luke’s Library remains open 24/7 throughout Summer Vacation, and will be staffed in person between 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday. For the Bank Holiday on Monday 28 August St Luke's Library will not be staffed.

Pitch up and Play: Summer programme+

We have a full programme of Pitch up and Play over the Summer Vacation. Free events but booking is essential.

Fitness Class timetables

  • We have many great  Fitness classes happening even though the Easter break at Streatham and St Lukes. 

The Estate Patrol Control Room is staffed 24/7 this includes the Easter vacation period. Estate Patrol Officers will be available to provide advice, direction and attend incidents as required. The Non-emergency telephone line is 01392 723999, in cases of emergency individuals should contact the emergency services on 999 and then contact the Estate Patrol through their emergency line 01392 722222.  

In the event of an emergency involving student welfare, Estate Patrol (01392 723999) will be able to contact Student Services Senior Management Team staff to co-ordinate a response.
